5 Tips To Help An Aging Dog

Take your dog out more often
Most dog owners take their dogs out just to pee and poop.
Being outdoors is critical for dogs because it allows them to get the physical exercise they need, stimulates their senses, and provides them with some variety in their daily life.
Lack of exercise for dogs can cause weight gain that dramatically contributes to ever so many age-related, debilitating issues.
Wash your dog’s dishes at least once a day
If you aren't washing out your pet's food and water bowls each day, dangerous bacteria like Salmonella or E. coli bacteria can begin to grow, infecting the food and water your pet ingests daily
Don’t spoil them too much with treats
Some highly processed treats are not necessarily healthy for dogs. The strong taste and smell can come at a price for their health and weight.
Feed your dog natural foods
Because of large-sized packaging, most dog foods contain high amounts of additives and preservatives. These additives can contribute to digestive issues like excessive drooling, occasional diarrhea and constipation, vomiting, bloating, and more.
Add probiotics and digestive enzymes to your dog’s diet to help make it easier for them to process food.
Boost your pup’s diet with essential nutrients
Just like people, dogs start to lose their ability to absorb nutrients with age.
Vitamins, enzymes, minerals, and antioxidants are just some of the things you can add to your dog’s food for healthy aging. These extra nutrients can benefit your dog’s mood, digestion, skin, and coat.

So... how to really help your dog live a healthy life and age well?
According to Dr. Richter there is 1 thing that really matters - nutrition.
Unfortunately, most pet foods only meet the minimum nutritional requirements for dogs. And that’s my #1 reason why dogs are getting sick.
Dr. Richter created a short video with his beliefs and knowledge about dogs’ health and longevity.
In this video, you will find out why some dogs require more frequent vet visits than others. You will learn what treats you should never feed your dog, and most importantly how to feed your dog RIGHT.
