All these tips are from America’s Favorite Vet, Dr. Gary Richter. He draws on his 20 years of experience helping all kinds of dogs and breeds with sickness as they age and too-often vet visits, so dogs can reach their full potential with each birthday.

Take your dog out more often

Most dog owners take their dogs out just to pee and poop.
But, being outdoors is critical for your dog as it allows him to get the physical exercise he needs, stimulates his senses, and provides him with some variety in his daily life.

Lack of exercise for dogs can cause weight gain that dramatically contributes to ever so many age-related, debilitating issues.

Wash your dog’s dishes at least once a day

If you aren't washing out your pet's food and water bowls each day, dangerous bacteria like Salmonella or E. coli bacteria can begin to grow, infecting the food and water your pet ingests every day.

Toys and bedding should be washed at least monthly—even more often depending on how quickly they get dirty.

Don’t spoil them too much with treats

When your dog’s misbehaving it’s tempting to turn to treats that quiet him down.
But, there may be other reasons your dog is acting out. Your dog might be tired, and those highly processed treats are not necessarily healthy for dogs. It’s like giving a person candy every time he or she is moody.

Feed your dog natural foods

Because of large-sized packaging, most dog foods contain high amounts of additives and preservatives. These additives can contribute to digestive issues like excessive drooling, occasional diarrhea and constipation, vomiting, bloating, and more.

Add probiotics and digestive enzymes to your dog’s diet to help him process food better.

Supplement your pup’s diet with essential nutrients

Just like aging humans, dogs that are getting older need to add important nutrients to their diets to stay healthy. These extra nutrients can benefit their mood, digestion, skin, and coat. Vitamins, enzymes, minerals, antioxidants are just some of the things you can add to your dog food to help him age better

Is there a dog who is getting what it needs to age gracefully?

Unfortunately, the lifespan of most dogs has been shortened dramatically in recent years due to poor nutrition and irresponsible moves by the dog food industry.

You should be able to adjust your dog's nutrition to its age to help your dog live a better life.

That’s why America’s favorite veterinarian, Dr. Gary Richter, originally created Nutra Thrive.
This food topper is a powerful blend of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, phytonutrients, amino acids, digestive enzymes and probiotics that instantly upgrade any dog food to help your dog live a happy, healthy life.

The idea behind ‘Nutra Thrive’ is that small changes can make a big difference.

It’s possible to support dogs’ health by making small changes in their diet, without changing their regular food! This is especially important for dogs over age seven.

Nutra Thrive is a revolutionary product. Where big companies are looking to save on dog food production by cutting out nutrients, Nutra Thrive is going to all efforts to bring more nutrients back into the food.

While every other dog food brand calls itself ‘premium’, Nutra Thrive is one of the only food toppers that actually cares about your dog’s needs.

At Ultimate Pet Nutrition, we say that the #1 most important factor for dogs is nutrition. Our powerful nutrient blend contains more than 40 ingredients that have been found to help virtually any dog live a happy life.
